Bulgaria Sports Structure
The main sports authority responsible for sports for people with a disability in Bulgaria is the State Agency for Youth and Sport (SAYS). The Agency has the status of Ministry and subsidizes all sports federations. The activities of SAYS concerning sport for people with disabilities in last years are turned to three main directions: elimination of architecture barriers and providing access to the sport facilities; initiatives orientated to integration and social inclusion; support and development of competitive and recreational sport for disabled persons. 1. The Bulgarian Paralympic Association

Bulgarian Paralympic Association (BPC) is representing International Paralympic Committee in Bulgaria . The organisation is responsible for the selection and the preparation of disabled athletes for high sports achievements. Furthermore, the BPC is engaged with developing and enlarging the opportunities for practicing recreational sport for disabled people of all ages in Bulgaria . The Association has 21 affiliated sports clubs for people with disabilities from all over the country. Each of these clubs develops several kinds of sport. The most popular sports for disabled in Bulgaria are: athletics, table tennis, tennis, swimming, weight lifting, badminton, chess, cross-country skiing, shooting, goalball, petanque, judo, wheelchair basketball, dancing, fencing, sitting volleyball.

2. The Bulgarian Deaf Sports Federation
The Bulgarian Deaf Sport Federation is a separate non-profit organization. Since 1993, the organization is under the cap of State Agency for Sport and Youth. The federation develops the following sports: both styles of wrestling, badminton, table tennis, bowling, footbal and athletics
